This study was aimed to evaluate penis and preputium diseases and their treatments in bulls. The material consisted of bulls at differet ages and breeds (n=56), with postitis (n=21), balanitis (n=7), balanoposthitis (n=4), phimosis caused by preputial avulsion (n=4); paraphimosis (n=11); penile fibropapilloma (n=5); partial obstruction of orificium urethra externum (n=3); and complete obstruction of orificium urethra externum (n=1). In addition to clinical examination, ultrasonography and thermography were used to assess the cases. 39 of these cases were treated with surgical intervention, 9 were treated with medication and 5 were treated with combination of surgical intervention plus medication. Due to poor prognosis, 3 cases with urethral rupture were untreated and slaughtering was advised. In conclusion; ultrasonography and thermography can be used as an effective technique to evaluated and to determined treatment procedure of penis and preputium diseases in bulls. Furthermore; It was also concluded that perineal urethrostomy can be an alternative treatment option with penis amputation or as a palliative process in beef cattle, and preputial reconstruction may be an effective surgical method in bulls with chronic postitis.
