Serum Biochemistry and Pathological Findings in A Sheep with Paratubeculosis

The case was diagnosed in a 2 years old Ivesi sheep complain with anorexia, recumbency and thinning. In clinical examination; body temperature is normal, but respiration and heart rate were increased. It wasn't determined any parasitic disease in the fecal examination. The total protein, albumine, calcium, and magnesium levels was decreased in the serum. For the definitive diagnosis, the sick animal was necropsied, and the sheep disease was identified as paratuberculosis in the laboratory examination. In conclusion, serum biochemical examination apply with clinical examination would be usefull in the clinical diagnosis of paratuberculosis in sheep.
