Objective: This research was conducted to determine the healthy eating obsessions of nutrition and dietetics students and the influencing factors.

Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with third- and fourth-year students in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences of a state and a foundation university. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of a personal information form, the ORTO-15 Test, and the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-40).

Results: According to the ORTO-15 Test, 51.9% of the students were found to be orthorexic, while according to the EAT-40, 4.9% were in the moderate and 4.6% were in the high risk category. The clinical domain subdimension median score was high in women (p=0.009); in the presence of a doctor-diagnosed disease, the ORTO-15 Test total median score (p=0.002) and the cognitive-rational domain subdimension median score (p=0.003) were low; in those who consistently followed the diet, the clinical domain subdimension median score (p<0.001) was low; In the case of changing behaviors when proper nutrition information is learned, it was determined that the total median score of the ORTO-15 Test (p=0.046), the median score of the cognitive-rational domain subdimension (p<0.001), the median score of the clinical domain subdimension (p=0.010) and the median score of the emotional domain subdimension (p=0.040) were statistically significant.

Conclusion: Half of the students were found to be orthorexic, and one-tenth fell within the moderate to high-risk category according to the EAT-40.
