This study was conducted to determine the contribution level of body composition parameters of
boxers to sportive achievement by using the models of “relational survey method”. The target
population of the study was undergraduate sportsmen who were actively boxing. The sample of the
research was consisted of 129 sportsmen from 28 different countries participating in the “1st Box
Championship between the Universities”. Body compositions of boxers were evaluated by
bioelectrical impedance analysis from foot to foot by taking the measurements on the morning
scale when the boxers were hungry. The data were analyzed by using correlation technique. In
order to determine the significance levels between socio-economical and body composition
parameters of the boxers and sportive achievement, the sportsmen were classified as groups
which were successful or not at individual and country basis and then percentages, frequencies
and correlations were assessed. Pearson Chi-Square and Pearson Correlation tests were applied
to investigate the relationships between the parameters. An “Independent Groups t test” was used
to compare arithmetical means of body composition parameters and the parameters which were
investigated at the level of significance were symbolized separately for the analysis of the
relationships. Significance levels between the data of the parameters were presented in Tables. As
a result; the average values of “Body Electrical Resistance” rate of 62.1% and 66.0% in successful
and unsuccessful countries, respectively. the average values of which were “X̄=2.1591” and
“X̄=1.9294” for successful and unsuccessful boxers, respectively.
