Results: Pathology in urinalysis and/or on sonography was detected in 8 (8.5%) of 94 patients with celiac disease included. In two cases, there was pathology in both urinalysis and sonography. There was hematuria in one case, recurrent urinary tract infection in one case and proteinuria in three cases in urinalysis while there was nephrolithiasis, pelvic ectasia, hydroureteronephrosis, Nutcracker syndrome and horseshoe kidney detected in one case for each on sonography.

Conclusion: It was found that celiac disease and pathologies of the urinary system were associated with each other in our study. Patients diagnosed with celiac disease should be investigated in terms of possible urinary system pathologies.
