We evaluated fourty-six patients treated with Stonelith-V3 Lithotriptor (PCK, Turkey) for ureteral stones between April 2001- November 2003 in Firat University, Department of Urology, retrospectively.

Thirty patients (65.2 %) were male, sixteen (34.7 %) were female with ages ranged from 14 to 65 years. Twenty-five (54.3 %) patients had proximal, 13 (28.2 %) had mid and 8 (17.3 %) had distal ureteral stones. Mean stone diameter was 9.5 mm. Patients were treated with Stonelith-V3 Lithotriptor. Average number of shock was 2824, average voltage was 18 kv. Session number ranged from 1 to 4. Complete fragmentation and passage of stone was accepted as successful treatment .

In 3 months follow-up, 23 of 25 patients with proximal ureteral stones (%92), 11 of 13 patients with mid ureteral stones (%84.6) and 6 of 8 patients with distal ureteral stones (%75) were stone-free.

It is seen that Stonelith -V3 Lithotriptor ESWL threapy is a noninvasive successful method in ureteral stone treatment.
