Bile leakage following cholecystectomy is not a common problem but can cause an important morbidity and mortality. The case with fistula following cholecystectomy due to bad drainage with Foley catheter was presented. Fistulography showed the tip of the Foley catheter balloon had been inflated. When the balloon deflated and withdrawal of the catheter, fistula tract closed immediately. In conclusion; drains can help to identify the bile leakage following cholecystectomy in early postoperative period. In such circumstances, if major injury of the bile duct is not present, bile leakage can close safely.
