It is well known the females have disadvantage for breast cancer. The female breast lesions are shown more than male breast lesions. Adipocytokines are more important subjects for medicine and clinical biochemistry on recent years. Adipocytokines are a group of adipose tissue-derived hormones that have been discovered since early nineties when the first member of the family –leptin– was described. Before that adipose tissue was recognized only as an energy storage depot and mechanical barrier thus having only a passive function in the body. But recent studies show that there is important relationship between adipocytokines and brest cancer.

It was considered that adipocytokines are effective in formation of various diseases. Also, the studies of adipocytokine at patients with cancer show that adipocytokines can be effective in formation of cancer. There are many investigations in vivo and in vitro made at recent years in this subject.

The aim of this review is to describe the relationships of adipocytokines and breast cancer and to present in widely perspective for readers.
