The aim of this study was to analyze the effects of an electromagnetic field that could be exposed during our daily life on developing kidney in fetus with comparison mother kidney. Pregnant mice with similar age and body weight were randomly divided into two groups as “ control” and “electromagnetic field”. Mice in the study group were exposed to 120 microtesla, 7 hrs/day and 7 days/ week. On the 18 th day of pregnancy mice were sacrified after taking their fetuses out by cesarean section and electron microscopic examination of the kidney of fetuses and their mothers were made. It was found that exposure to electromagnetic field during our daily life effected development of fetal kidney by causing degeneration in microvilli and mitocondria in proksimal tubuli in spite of necrotic chances in some cells in the mother.
