Bladder cancer has an importance as it is still increasing through the world and in our country. Between July-1997 and July-1999, a total of 50 patients who were diagnosed and treated for bladder cancer were retrospectively evaluated in DeparTent of Urology, Firat University, Firat Medical Center. Mean follow up was 16 months (range 4-28). Histopathological examination revealed transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) in 49 (98%) and 1 (2 %) was diagnosed to have squamous cell cancer (SCC). Of the cases, 31 (62 %) had superficial tumor, 14 (28 %) had muscular invasion and 5 (10 %) had metastasis.

TUR-T, cystectomy, intracavitary immunotherapy, chemotherapy and systemic chemotherapy were carried out for these patients. Recurrence was detected in 2 (4%) patients, and 4 (8 %) patients did not survive despite therapy. In this study, after performing TURBT and intravesical immunotherapy or chemotherapy in patients with bladder tumor, the treaTent rates, recurrences and surveys of the patients were evaluated.
